Introducing our new Under-18s players

Tue 04 July 2023, 17:00|Tottenham Hotspur

We are delighted to introduce the 11 young players who have formally joined our Under-18s as full-time, first-year scholars.

Samual Archer and Charlie Warren are the goalkeepers in this year’s intake, joined by defenders Timileyin Adekunle, Theodore Adelusi, Roman Egan-Riley, Calum Logan and Dante Orr.

Further up the pitch, Herbie James, Callum Olusesi and Mikey Moore are the midfielders in the group, along with centre-forward Ellis Lehane.

All four of the latter players appeared in competitive games at Under-18 level for us last season, with Mikey becoming the youngest player ever to feature for our Under-21 side in its current guise when he made his Premier League 2 debut aged 15 against Manchester United in April.

Timileyin, Theodore, Ellis, Dante, Callum and Mikey helped us win the Under-17 Premier League Cup last term, with the latter duo also involved in our Under-18 Premier League Cup success as the youth team completed an unprecedented double.

Roman, Herbie and Calum are new to the Club – Roman and Herbie were previously at Manchester City, while Calum has arrived from Ipswich Town.

All 11 players started work at Hotspur Way full-time yesterday (Monday 3 July) – we welcome them all and wish them the very best at this important stage of their careers.

Under-18s Coach Stuart Lewis said: “We are delighted to welcome all 11 of our new first-year scholars to the Club. Some of the players have been here for a number of years while there are others who are relatively new to us but, regardless of that, they are all fully aware of the expectations we have of them and what is required to represent Tottenham Hotspur. Myself and the rest of the Under-18 staff are really excited to work with this group and are looking forward to developing them further as young football players and as people.”
